Just thinking about the last little adventure we went on and put some info up

It was  the Torrent de Pareis in Mallorca. This is a spectacular if quite challenging gorge trek. My son however lapped it up and really helped me make it to the bottom

If you fancy trying this make sure you start early if you intend to go top to bottom from Escorca as the last bus back from Sa Calobra at the bottom to take you back up leaves late afternoon or get someone to pick you up at the bottom. The drive down and up is a challenge itself as there are lots of hairpin bends and scary drops just feet away from the road

Do your homework and be prepared as this could be a dangerous trek if you are not prepared properly.
This is so enjoyable, spectacular and being reliant on your son to get you through it adds a different dimension to it.....

These links are a couple of the resources we used..

Off to the Dolomites in two weeks

Off to the Dolomites in two weeks with 19 year old son who is "fit as a lop" and I have a desk job so for the last few weeks I have been walking the 4 miles to work twice a week.

It's been a a few years since him and I had what I thought was our last adventure together as he decided that he had more interesting things to do at 17 than go off trekking with his dad.
I understand that but still a bit gutted on the quiet.

Then two years later out of the blue he comes out with "why do we not go off trekking any more Dad...?"

Unfit but over the moon the adventures are back on I'm hitting the road to get the muscles built back up so he doesn't leave me behind.
Hope I haven't left it to late...
